New Information To Share
Professional Development Day: A reminder that this Friday a Pro D Day. There is no school for students.
Victoria Day: A reminder that Monday May 23rd is Victoria Day and school is closed.
Emergency Release Drill: On June 8th, in conjunction with the District, we will be completing an Emergency Release Drill. For our entire school, we will run our regular earthquake drill followed by an evacuation from the school. Once we have accounted for everyone, we will conduct an official reunification process for our grade one students. The link for the letter explaining what will be happening and why is below. Also, you can see the information sent to our grade one families below as well. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact administration.
Gaga Pit: Last week, our two Gaga Pits were installed. This is a very popular game in the elementary circles and are students are going to have a blast playing! Our intermediates have been learning the game in gym and our primary students will be doing so in the coming weeks. If you’re interested, you can click here to see the rules.
Photographer Wanted: We are looking for a local photographer to capture our Grade 7 Farewell event on Friday June 24th. If you know of anyone, please send their contact information to Mr Davids (sdavids@sd35.bc.ca)
Noon Hour Supervisors: We are looking to hire noon hour supervisors at Dorothy Peacock for the upcoming school year. If you are interested, please contact Mr Davids directly.
Information From Last Week
Transportation Registration 2022-2023: Transportation registration for 2022-23 is now open. Please note the instructions to register are different for each category of rider. To help in our planning and creation of bus routes, registrations must be submitted by May 16 (eligible riders) and June 6 (courtesy riders). The District cannot guarantee approval after the deadline. New and existing riders can find more information on our Transportation Registration webpage here.

Hot Lunch Orders: DPE families, reminder that ordering for the Friday, May 27th Hot Lunch will CLOSE on Wednesday, May 18th at midnight. Unfortunately, late orders and/or orders without payment will not be accepted.
