March 6, 2022

And then there was one … hard to believe how fast it has gone since Christmas, but here we are at our final week before Spring Break. We have lots going on as we wind down to the break. Here’s what you need to know.

New Information To Share

Grade 7 Flower Sales: Spring is coming!  Celebrate the beginning of spring break with a beautiful bouquet of cut flowers for only $20 and support your Grade 7s.  They will be selling flowers after school on Friday, March 11 at the front of the school.  First come, first served, cash and e-transfer accepted.

One Hour Early Dismissal: Just a reminder that there is a one hour early dismissal on Wednesday and Thursday this week to facilitate our student inclusive conferences. Students will be dismissed at 1:20 those days.

Jersey/Athlete Day: This Friday will be our Jersey/Athlete Spirit Day. Students are encouraged to represent their favourite team or sport.

Student Rapid Antigen Tests: As we mentioned last week, tests can be picked up during your student inclusive conference from the teacher. If you have not yet picked it up, you can get it from your child’s classroom teacher before or after school.

Hot Lunch Day: This Friday is our first hot lunch day … in what seems like forever! We are excited to be able to bring back this elementary school tradition. Thank you to the PAC for coordinating this for our students.

Spring Break: A reminder that Spring Break starts on March 12 and our first day back to school Is March 28th.

Information From Last Week

Student Inclusive Conferences: We are so excited to be starting out student inclusive conferences this week! It is a great time to celebrate the learning that has happened so far and set collaborative goals for the final stretch of the school year. A reminder to please come with your Family Conference Refection Form (click here) completed. If you have not yet made an appointment, please contact your child’s teacher directly or Mrs Lipp (llipp@sd35.bc.ca)
