I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend. There were a couple different holidays to celebrate … whether you were honouring Easter, Vaisakhi or Passover … we hope you enjoyed some time with family and friends. Here is what you need to know for the week ahead.
New Information To Share
Jump Rope for Heart: This Tuesday is our Jump Rope For Heart Event! We are grateful for all the donations received so far. The link is open until this Friday so there is still time to give to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Here is the Information: Jump Digital Parent Letter
Character Day: April 22 will be Character Day. Dress up as your favourite character from a book, a movie, TV or a game.
Best Buy Spring Contest: Please see the link below for a chance to win a best buy gift card for recycling your old electronics. The school with the most donations can win a $10,000 technology package. Best Buy Spring Contest
Information From Last Week
Water Bottles: Our water fountain has now been reopened, but we continue to encourage students to bring a water bottle to use our fill station near the gym.
Peacock’s Got Talent (PGT) 2022: Peacock is hosting a Virtual Talent Show once again this year! This is a showcase of the amazing talent we have at Peacock. As a whole school, students will view the talent show video in their individual classes on the 4th week of May (from May 23 to May 27). All Talents are welcome!
Talent Show Guidelines
- Students will be recording their performances at school or may send in a video from home.
- Recording will take place during the month of May (from May 2 to May 13). You must have all of your materials, props. And costumes on the day of your performance.
- Each performance should be no longer than 3 minutes long.
- All costumes, dances, lyrics, jokes etc. must be appropriate for our DPE audience.
- Group performances are welcome.
- Film in a location with minimal background noise. If you are using music, make sure it is loud enough to be heard.
- Share your video with Ms. Lee on One Drive or by email. lee@sd35.bc.ca
- Video submissions are due no later than May 6, 2022 at 11:59pm.
